India, Pakistan Exchange Nuclear Installations List

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) NEW DELHI, Jan 1 (KUNA) -- India and Pakistan on Sunday exchanged the list of nuclear facilities covered under an agreement prohibiting any attack on unclear installations.
'India and Pakistan today exchanged, through diplomatic channels simultaneously at New Delhi and Islamabad, the list of nuclear installations and facilities, covered under the Agreement on the Prohibition of Attack against Nuclear Installations and Facilities between India and Pakistan,' India's Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.
Under the Agreement signed on 31 December 1988 and entered into force on 27 January 1991, India and Pakistan inform each other of the nuclear installations and facilities.
The fact that this is the 32nd consecutive exchange of such lists between the two nuclear powers indicates that both the countries have taken the pact seriously so fat despite continues border and bilateral tensions. (end)
