Trump is being chastised by White House for meeting with white supremacists

(MENAFN) The White House has blasted former President Donald Trump for meeting with a prominent white supremacist and musician Kanye West, who is mired in a controversy over anti-Jewish statements, at his Florida resort.

Trump admitted having dinner with West, who legally changed his name to Ye, at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday night and said he brought pals, one of which was Nick Fuentes, an avowed anti-Semite and bigot.

“I didn’t know Nick Fuentes,” Trump released on his Truth Social account late Friday.

Trump's meeting with Fuentes was denounced by White House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates.

“Bigotry, hate, and anti-Semitism have absolutely no place in America – including at Mar-a-Lago. Holocaust denial is repugnant and dangerous, and it must be forcefully condemned,” Bates informed CNN on Saturday.

Joe Biden, President of the United States, who is having a holiday weekend in Nantucket, dodged a question about Trump’s dinner by inquiring: “You don’t wanna hear what I think.”

Fuentes' YouTube account was permanently disabled in early 2020 for breaking the platform's hate speech policy.
