Iranian Economy Ministry says variations in capital market are normal

(MENAFN) Iranian Finance and Economic Affairs Ministry has stated that variations in the capital market are normal and not every decline in the market index shows the market is recently decreasing, according to IRNA.

In response to some negative documents by local newspapers regarding the recent fall of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE)’s main index (TEDPIX) over the previous few days, the ministry issued a declaration scolding the mentioned documents for inducing worries regarding the future of the share market.

“Inducing doubt about the future of the stock market is not a logical approach in a situation where an atmosphere of hope is becoming dominant [in the market],” the declaration went on.

“Contrary to the approach of the previous government [administration], the 13th government has not looked at the stock market as a means for generating income and has always tried to support the capital market,” the statement added.
