(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) PRAGUE, 24th November, 2022 (WAM) -- Saqr Ghobash, Speaker for the Federal National Council (FNC), met with Markéta Pekarová Adamová, Speaker of the Czech Chamber of tDeputies , during his official visit to the Czech Republic as head of a UAE parliamentary delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the friendship and cooperation ties between the two parliaments and ways of strengthening their coordination on various matters, stressing their key role in enhancing the bilateral relations between the UAE and the Czech Republic.
The meeting also addressed recent regional developments, and the international efforts to counter terrorism, extremism and non-interference in the internal affairs of states, as well as the need to resolve all issues through diplomatic means.
Ghobash said that Emirati-Czech ties date back to three decades and have witnessed significant development, due to their leadership's keenness to strengthen their cooperation, most notably in economic and political areas, noting the mutual keenness of both countries to coordinate on regional and international issues of interest.
Adamová welcomed the visit of Ghobash and his delegation, noting that it will strengthen cooperation between the two parliaments.
She also stressed the importance of the relations between the two friendly countries and their people, as well as the need to strengthen their cooperation in various fields, at the parliamentary level.
