TASI closes Sunday’s session on positive note


(MENAFN) The Saudi benchmark index surged up in its initial exchange meeting of October as financier recession worries decreased.

The Tadawul All Share Index closed 0.72 percent up to stand at 11,487; the similar market Nomu ticked 0.34 percent higher to 19,939.

Saudi oil giant Aramco closed with a 0.28 percent drop, whereas Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co. was 1.31 percent higher.

The Saudi National Bank, the nation’s biggest lender, was 0.63 percent down, whereas Saudi British Bank jumped by 2.43 percent.

The nation’s highest valued bank Al Rajhi earned 1.48 percent, whereas Alinma Bank added 1.93 percent.

Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co. declined by 0.19 percent, following its signing of SR166 million (USD44 million) deal with Italy-located Toscotec for a raw tissue paper roll output line.

Retal Urban Development Co. fell 0.28 percent, after its stockholder accepted a cash dividend of SR2 a stock for the January-June period of this year.
