Swiss lady is on trial for knife assault committed by ISIS

(MENAFN) In the name of the Daesh terrorist organization, a Swiss lady is accused of attempting to slice the throats of two ladies in a department shop. She would go on trial on Monday.

The 29-year-old is charged with carrying out a "terrorist act" in the November 24, 2020, attack on the opulent Manor shop in Lugano, Ticino, southern Switzerland.

One of the two victims had a critical neck wound. The second person was hurt on one hand but was still able to contain the attacker until the cops came. The trial is being held at Bellinzona's Federal Criminal Court in the Ticino region.

The accused, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, " acted wilfully and with particular ruthlessness," according to the indictment released by the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland (OAG).

Based on the OAG, “she brutally attacked her randomly-selected victims with a knife, with the aim of killing them and thereby spreading terror throughout the population on behalf of Daesh, triggering widespread reports in the media and thus propagating Daesh ideology.”
