FBI Director Wray denounces warnings after searching Trump's residence

(MENAFN) After his agency searched former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence, the FBI director on Wednesday slammed fans of Trump who have been using violent rhetoric.

Trump's 2017 appointment of Christopher Wray as the agency's head described cyber threats against federal officers and the Justice Department as "deplorable and dangerous."

Wray declared that “I’m always concerned about threats to law enforcement.” Adding, “violence against law enforcement is not the answer, no matter who you’re upset with.”

Wray made the comments at a press conference at the FBI's Omaha, Nebraska, field office, where he spoke about the agency's emphasis on cybersecurity. He declined to comment on the lengthy FBI search of Trump's Palm Beach, Florida property on Monday.

Since Trump himself announced the search of his Florida property, it has been simple to discover threats and a call to arms on the right-wing extremist-favored areas of the Internet. A common response was "Lock and load," and there were demands for the murder of federal officers as well as United States Attorney General Merrick Garland.
