A close associate of notorious criminal Angoda Lokka has died while in Police custody.
The suspect had died after falling off a granite quarry in the Kaduwela area.
The Police said that the Police Special Task Force (STF) had taken the suspect to the quarry to recover hidden weapons.
He allegedly fell after attempting to escape from the custody of the STF.
The suspect was pronounced dead on being admitted to the Oruwala Hospital in Athurugiriya. (Colombo Gazette)
