Doha: The Arab Centre for Research and Policy Studies issued the Translation of Oxford Handbook of Political Institutions. 

It came within the translation series, edited by Professor of Political Science and Director of the Research School of Social Sciences at the Australian National University R A W Rhodes; Professor of Political Science at George Washington University Sarah A Binder, and Professor and Chair of Political Science Department at Purdue University Bert A Rockman, 

The 1,360-page handbook includes bibliographic references and a general index. It was translated by the Syrian translator Ali Barazi and the Moroccan translator Ibtisam bin Khadra. 

The handbook includes a comprehensive survey of the findings of the study of political institutions, with the rise of new institutions. It contains the contributions of about 40 distinguished university professors in several fields of political science from various leading international universities, varying in terms of the multiple concepts of these institutions. In addition to many questions and debates regarding the origins of institutions and their impacts on political practice and policies. 

The handbook presents several theoretical approaches, such as normative institutionalism, rational choice institutionalism, historical institutionalism, among others. 

The handbook also covers the traditional interests of political science in the field of institutions, federal systems, government departments, legislative bodies, courts, parties and others, and reflects the broad interests of global institutions, state institutions and civil society.
