Czech Embassy Organises Seminar On Renewables, Energy Efficient Solutions In Amman

Amman, May 31 (Petra) – The International exhibition JIMEX / SONEX 2022 hosted a seminar on 'Smart Czech Solutions in the energy Sector' that would run from May 30 to June 2 in Amman.
Organised by the Czech Embassy in Amman, the seminar focused on innovative ideas in the field of renewables and energy-efficient solutions, including the Solar Air Water Earth Resource (SAWER) project, which won the award for the Best Innovation at the expo 2020.
Commercial Affairs Counselor at the Embassy Zuzana Bene?ov? said in an address that despite different natural conditions for renewable energy sources, Jordan and the Czech Republic have a population of more than ten million.
She added that due to the fact that both countries are oil- and gas-poor makes further development of renewables an important part of the debate on increasing their own energy security and self-sufficiency.
Petr Wolf, one of the SAWER creators and a researcher in the Czech University Center for Energy Effective Buildings, presented the autonomous unit that generates drinking water in the dry hot climate.
He also introduced another project - 'NCK CAMEB Omice', an intelligent system of predictive control of a family house regarding photovoltaics, batteries, electromobility, heating or cooling in relation to the current weather forecast and energy prices.
The Seminar was attended by academics and officials from ministries, as well as high-level businesspersons in the renewable energy sector.
