Azerbaijan's Aviation Industry Undergoes Significant Growth In Recent Decades - Boeing

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 26. Azerbaijan's aviation industry has experienced significant growth over the past decades, Boeing's Managing Director for Türkiye and Central Asia Aysem Sargın said, Trend reports.

She made the announcement at the graduation ceremony of the ThinkYoung Coding School, organized by the ThinkYoung non-profit organization in partnership with Boeing Aerospace Company.

“I am pleased to be here today, as this event marks Boeing's first involvement in the public life of Azerbaijan, as well as the first initiative we are undertaking in the Caspian Sea region and Central Asia,” she emphasized.

Aysem Sargın mentioned that the Azerbaijani government and private sector have invested heavily in infrastructure and airplane fleets.

“This is an important market for Boeing, and Azerbaijan has great potential for development, including in aviation. The coding school that we have implemented in Azerbaijan together with our partner, Think Young, is a unique program that prepares students for the future by developing their digital skills,” she added.

To note, ThinkYoung and Boeing held their first coding school classes in the Caspian region and Central Asia from July 22 through July 26, 2024.

The program in Baku provided Azerbaijani schoolchildren aged 10 to 17 with coding classes, including lessons on website and game development.

Besides in-demand digital skills, the students also mastered English and acquired skills that will help them in their future careers in technology, aviation, and other STEM fields.
