US Embassy Supports STEM Education And Economic Programs In Azerbaijan - Official


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 26. We support STEM education and economic programs in Azerbaijan, Acting Deputy Chief of Mission of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan Bill Murad said, Trend reports.

He made the remark at a graduation ceremony of the ThinkYoung Coding School, organized by the ThinkYoung non-profit organization in partnership with Boeing Aerospace Company.

Bill Murad noted that one of the brightest examples of US cooperation in Azerbaijan is the embassy-funded program called Technovation for Azerbaijan. It is designed for teenagers and students in the regions of Azerbaijan.

“I am very pleased to see a major Boeing company supporting STEM education for Azerbaijan's younger generation. Boeing is a strategic partner of Azerbaijan's rapidly growing aviation sector and is contributing to the expansion of routes, networks, and operational efficiencies,” the US embassy official noted.

According to him, the embassy appreciates the company's additional commitment to social activism in Azerbaijan.

To note, ThinkYoung and Boeing held their first coding school classes in the Caspian region and Central Asia from July 22 to 26.

As part of the program in Baku, Azerbaijani schoolchildren between the ages of 10 and 17 took coding classes, including lessons on website and game development.

Besides in-demand digital skills, the students also learned English and acquired skills that will help them in future careers in technology, aviation, and other STEM fields.
