BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 13 . On May 13, the head
of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Ali
Nagiyev, received a delegation led by Secretary General of the
National Security Council of Turkey Seyfullah Khadzhimuftyuoglu,
who is on an official visit to the country, Trend reports with
reference to the website of State Security Service.
Ali Nagiyev, welcoming the guest, noted that thanks to the joint
efforts of the heads of state, relations between the two fraternal
and partner countries are at the highest level. He stressed the
further expansion of cooperation in the field of security in
accordance with the Shusha Declaration, signed on June 15 last
year.
Emphasizing Turkey's support for regional stability, maintaining
peace and tranquility in the region, he expressed confidence in the
further strengthening of bilateral ties to further secure security
in the region.
Expressing gratitude for the hospitality and warm welcome, the
Secretary General of the Turkish National Security Council noted
satisfaction with the level of interstate cooperation on security
issues, stressed the importance of continuous development of these
relations.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the
meeting.
