Turkmenistan considering opening Trading House in Kyrgyz Bishkek

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan considered the possibility of opening a Turkmen Trading House in the Kyrgyz city of Bishkek, Trend reports citing Arzuw News.

This issue was discussed at the meeting of the Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Bishkek, Shadurdy Meredov and the President of the Chamber of Commerce and industry of Kyrgyzstan Marat Sharshekeev.

During the conversation, the Turkmen ambassador recalled that an agreement was reached between the heads of the two countries on the establishment of the Kyrgyz-Turkmen Development Fund with an authorized capital of $100 million.

Therefore, at this stage, a joint project is being considered for the construction of an 18-storey residential building with business premises and the opening of Turkmenistan Trading House in the Kyrgyz city of Bishkek.

Furthermore, he noted that the partnership relations in the field of trade between the two states have recently significantly strengthened, and the bilateral trade turnover by the end of 2021 amounted to about $86 million, which is three times higher than the same period in 2020.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to hold a business forum between entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan in June 2022.
