Artillery explosion kills five minors in Helmand province

Provincial officials of southeastern Helmand province said that explosion of unexploded artillery has killed five children and wounded two more.
As per the officials, the incident took place on Friday, April 1, 2022, in Marja district of the province.
The artillery exploded as children were busy playing with that.
Member of former provincial council Abdullah said that two wounded are under treatment in the health center of Marja district.
Unexploded pieces, artillery, and rockets still claim the lives of tens of civilians mostly children every year across Afghanistan.
The International Community has significantly decreased the number of demining projects around the country as a result, the hidden enemy of humans still kills and wounds people.
