Mohammed Osman appointed as managing editor of The Peninsula

Doha: Mohammed Osman Ali has been appointed Managing Editor of The Peninsula newspaper. 

During his 12 years long association with the publication, he has served at different positions.

After serving as reporter and Deputy Head of the Local Section, he was promoted to the post of Head of Local Section and then assumed charge of the Deputy Managing Editor.

Since July 2021, Mohammad Osman has been serving the newspaper as Acting Managing Editor. The Editor-in-Chief has now elevated him to the position of Managing Editor with immediate effect.

Mohammad Osman, hailing from Eritrea, obtained his Masters degree in linguistics from SOAS University of London.

He has served at the Ministry of Education, Eritrea, as head of school curriculum development section and at the Minister's office as head of the department of scholarships and foreign cooperation. 

The Editor-in-Chief hopes his appointment will not only help the newspaper maintain its leading position in English print journalism in Qatar but will also set new standards in creating quality content, keeping pace with emerging changes in the media industry.
