'According to the investigation data, at about 03:30 on March 17, 2022, Russian servicemen fired artillery on the town of Merefa, destroying a secondary school and a house of culture. Twenty-one people were killed, 25 more were injured, ten are in critical condition,' the Prosecutor's Office of Kharkiv region posted on Telegram.
The rubble is still being cleared away.
Over the past day, the enemy launched 49 attacks on Kharkiv region. The town of Merefa came under fire at night. The missiles hit a school, a house of culture, and a scientific institution.
The war against Russian invaders has been going on in Ukraine since February 24.
