Ukraine - Zelensky: More than 7,000 people rescued from besieged towns on Friday

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Despite the fact that the Russian invaders disrupted the work of most humanitarian corridors, 7,144 people were rescued on Friday, including from Enerhodar, Bucha, and Hostomel.

“But, despite everything, 7,144 people were saved. From Enerhodar, Bucha, Hostomel and Kozarovychi. And these are 7,144 reasons to try to organize evacuation for Ukrainians from the besieged cities tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. We will do that. We will do everything to bring humanitarian aid to Ukrainian cities,” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in his address .

He said that Mariupol remained blocked by the enemy.“Russian troops did not let our aid into the city and continue to torture our people, our Mariupol residents. Tomorrow we'll try again. Once again send food, water, and medicines for our city,” the President assured.

He expressed confidence that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would respond to every minute of our people's suffering.“And it's not pathos. Not a threat. This is a statement of reality,” Zelensky stressed.

On February 24, Russian president Putin announced the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops invaded simultaneously from the north, east, and Crimea. They destroy cities, kill civilians, fire on and ruin key infrastructure facilities, and hit residential houses with missiles.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the support of the entire nation, courageously resist the aggression.
