Turkey's regular energy consumption drops 10.3 percent on March 6


(MENAFN) Based on the official records of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday, daily electricity usage in Turkiye declined by 10.3 percent on Monday in comparison to the prior day, standing at 793,913 megawatt-hours.

According to TEIAS records, hourly power usage peaked at 37,359 megawatt-hours at 20.00 local time (1700 GMT). The nation’s electricity usage plunged to the lowest point of 28,037 megawatt-hours at 08.00 domestic time (0500 GMT).

On Sunday, Electricity production totaled 794,110 megawatt-hours, down by 10.6 percent from the previous day.

Natural gas factories generated 19.4 percent of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity and lignite coal plants donated 16.5 percent and 16.3 percent correspondingly.
