Afghanistan - Afghan, Pakistani commerce Ministers to meet at Torkham tomorrow

Acting Minister of Commerce and industry of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Noorudin Azizi leading a high-level delegation will meet with a Pakistani delegation headed by Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Commerce, Textile, Industry, and Production, and Investment, Abdul Razak Dawood at Torkhan crossing on Monday, February 28, Pakistan's DAWN reported.
Abdul Razak Dawood will be accompanied by Pakistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan Mohammad Sadiq.
The two delegations will be meeting each other at the crossing point to closely witness the movement of pedestrians and vehicles.
Smooth movement of people and patients across the crossing point, increase in timings of the crossing point, the establishment of joint border infrastructure, and smooth crossing of humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan is on the agenda of the meeting.
Meanwhile, the meeting will also be discussing the issuance of temporary admission documents, training of Afghan nominees for trade-related capacity building courses, the resumption of the Torkham-Jalalabad road project, and the start of bus services between Peshawar-Jalalabad and Quetta-Kandahar.
The meeting comes as Chaman crossing in Spin Boldak district of Kandahar province is still closed now after three days.
