Trend:

Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called on the local business circles to start working together on building a new economic policy, Trend reports via Kazinform.

“We need to turn the page and start working together on building a new economic policy that should become the basis of a new Kazakhstan,” Tokayev said during a meeting with the business representatives.

He stressed that the main principles of the new economic policy should be fair competition, transparency of decisions made, predictability of state policy, tax fairness of business, and social responsibility of entrepreneurs.

“I'm absolutely sure that namely the big business, our bourgeoisie, is interested in the successful implementation of socio-economic reforms because namely the business elite of the country has something to lose. At the same time, there are good opportunities for further expansion of their business,” added the president.
