EU commercial vehicle market falls for 6 month in row


(MENAFN) According to a sectoral group, The EU profitable vehicle market decreasing for consecutively sixth months in December.

The European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) showed that new traveler car registrations in the 27-member bloc stood at 795,295 units in December, falling 22.8 ratios from December 2020.

The area’s markets witnessed double-number reductions, counting the four main ones like Italy (27.5 percent), Germany (26.9 percent), Spain (18.7 percent), and France (15.1 percent).

Bulgaria, Croatia, Latvia, and Slovenia are the only EU car markets which grew in December.

Trades of new cars in the EU declined by 2.4 percent to 9.7 million units last year, regardless of the record low base of contrast of 2020.

In line with a statement "This fall was the result of the semiconductor shortage that negatively impacted car production throughout the year, but especially during the second half of 2021. Indeed, last year total EU car registrations were still 3.3 million units below pre-crisis sales in 2019."
