Qatar - Committee for Removal of Abandoned Vehicles reviews action plan

Doha: The Joint Committee for Removal of Abandoned vehicles held its first meeting in 2022 to review the results of action plans implemented in the past. The joint committee held its first meeting after it was restructured according to Ministerial resolution No. 91 for 2021 headed by Major General Ali Salman Al Hassan Al Mohannadi, Chairman of the Committee.

The meeting was attended by Jaber Hassan Al Jaber, Vice-Chairman of the Committee; and member of the committee Saleh Hassan Al Kuwari, representing the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change; Marzouq Mubarak Al Misifi, Muhammad Faraj Mutaib Al Kubaisi and Hamad Sultan Misfir Al Shahwani, representing the Ministry of Municipality, said the Ministry of Municipality in a statement. 

Other members who attended the meeting are Issa Shaheen Al Nuaimi, representing the Ministry of Finance; Asma Nasser Ahmed Al Janahi, representing the Ministry of Commerce and Industry; Hassan Ali Al Nuaimi, representing the General Authority of Customs; Captain Turki Sherida Mubarak Al Kaabi, representing the General Traffic Department; Captain Abdul Rahman Rashid Husayn Al Nuaimi, representing Lekhwiya and Ghanem Hassan Al Sulaiti, representing Supreme Judicial Council.

Major General Ali Salman Al Mohannadi welcomed all the new members, as the most important work and functions of the Committee were explained to the members. The achievements of the Committee since its establishment in 2016 in the field of removing abandoned vehicles across the country were discussed. The results were also reviewed and the obstacles and negative points identified to be avoided during the coming period.
