A badminton tournament for Sri Lankan women in Qatar was organised by Women in Sports-Qatar recently at Alpha Cambridge School, Doha. The championship was won by Jeevitha and Faheema. Fazna and Hashma were the first runners-up and Rayeeza and Ramzani were the second runners-up. Dr Shezoon Mohideen, wife of the Sri Lankan ambassador was the chief guest. The event was held under the leadership of the forum's founder and president Nuzaila Badurdeen with the support of programme co-ordinators Jeewitha Thiruchelvam and Hasoona Rawoof.
