Chairman of Qatar General Organization for Standardization and Metrology (QGOSM) H E Eng. Mohammed bin Saud Al Musallam praised the unprecedented achievements made by the State of Qatar in the process of construction and comprehensive development in all areas of life.

Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of the National Day, Chairman of QGOSM said that the State of Qatar, under the wise leadership of Amir H H sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, has achieved many unprecedented achievements in the process of construction and comprehensive development in all areas of life as it anticipates the prospects of a prosperous future and a new era of prosperity and well-being of the homeland, the citizen and the resident.

He extended his warmest congratulations to Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Father Amir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and all the honourable Qatari people and residents on the occasion of the National Day of the country, which falls on December 18 of each year.

He said that the National Day of the country carries with it many meanings of sacrifice and giving, as it is a commemoration of the founding of the State of Qatar by the founder Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammad bin Thani on December 18, 1878, who laid the foundations of the modern State of Qatar, until it became, under his leadership, a single coherent organic entity and a unified independent country and embodies all the meanings of loyalty and solidarity of the people around their wise leadership, as well as highlighting the meanings of glory, pride and national affiliation.

Eng. Al Musallam praised the slogan for the celebration of 2021 Qatar National Day“Ancestral Meadows: A Matter of Trust,” which comes out of loyalty to the legacy of the fathers and grandfathers in preserving the homeland and its gains. This is as the Qataris have been closely associated with their environment since ancient times, they were raised and affected by its characteristics, so they coexisted with its nature, sea and land, in all its seasons. It even formed an important and influential part in consolidating their national identity and belonging to this beloved land.

He said that QGOSM joins the Qatari people in celebrating this occasion and renews its determination to support the comprehensive development process and renaissance that included all aspects of life.
