Expo 2020 Dubai inaugurates UAE-UN cooperation


(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Dec. 7 the United Nations Hub at Expo 2020 Dubai celebrated the cooperation between the UN and the UAE in accordance with the UAE’s 50th National Day.

The exhibit was accompanied by top executives of the UN office in the Emirates and Yacoub Al Hosani, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for International Organisations Affairs.

The UN is combining its efforts with the UAE on fields of growth, humanitarian assistance, maintaining peace internationally and regionally, as well as culture and healthcare through the UN's UNICEF and UNESCO, stated Dena Assaf, United Nations Resident Coordinator for the UAE and Deputy Commissioner General for the United Nations at Expo 2020 Dubai.

She also said, “Through this exhibit, we sought to highlight our strong relations with the UAE and to celebrate the country's 50th National Day anniversary.”
