NATO top diplomats to talk about increasing Russian army buildup, Belarus migration situation

(MENAFN) On Friday, the NATO chief declared that NATO foreign ministers are going to talk about the most demanding security matters, involving the Russian army buildup close to Ukraine and the immigration situation on the Belarus border in their approaching conference the upcoming week.

The highest diplomats of NATO nations are going to meet in Riga, Latvia, Nov. 30-Dec. 1. Moreover, the ministers are going to talk about Russia’s ongoing army buildup in and near Ukraine which is “unprovoked and unexplained,” as NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated to reporters.

Stoltenberg stated, “it raises tensions and it risks miscalculations. Russia must show transparency, reduce tensions and de-escalate,” mentioning adding that NATO keeps its “defense and deterrence strong while remaining open for dialogue.”
