Crown Prince of Dubai launches drone plan to enhance UAE competitiveness


(MENAFN) On Saturday, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed launched a drone plan that permits the usage of drones in various industries, involving health, security, shipping as well as food, with the purpose of enhancing the UAE’s international competitiveness.

Saying the information in a tweet, Sheikh Hamdan stated that the Dubai Program to Enable Drone Transportation is going to form an improved infrastructure “for creatives to come up with solutions for the world’s transportation challenges”.

He stated, “it will also create an advanced infrastructure that enables innovators and relevant entities to test prototypes of unmanned aerial vehicles in designated areas and develop legislation that optimises their implementation.”

According to a government statement issued on Saturday, the plan aims to develop individuals’ lives by eliminating carbon emissions caused by typical freight and transportation means and easing the movement of goods and resources.
