Erdogan celebrates Azerbaijan Remembrance Day


(MENAFN) The Turkish leader celebrated Azerbaijan’s Remembrance Day to remember the beginning of the last year fight when Baku’s won, as he tweeted “I remember all our martyrs with mercy on the anniversary of the glorious struggle that liberated Karabakh and the occupied Azerbaijani lands. Karabakh is Azerbaijan.”

He also requested Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to express his condolences for the death of Azerbaijani militaries and civilians in the combat and praised Azerbaijan’s success, the Directorate of Communications report said.

Moreover, Erdogan added that Turkey is going to keep supporting Azerbaijan as a state and as a nation.

The Azerbaijani presidency report showed “President Ilham Aliyev thanked the Turkish leader and praised the political and moral support provided by the Turkish President to our country during the Great Patriotic War.”

The report also declared “The heads of state expressed confidence that friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey would continue to develop and strengthen in all directions.”
