President Zelensky, First Lady open Ukrainian House in Washington


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) During a working visit to the United States, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska took part in the opening of the Ukrainian House in Washington.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the press service of the head of state.

Addressing the leaders of the Ukrainian community in the United States, the head of state noted that thanks to the Ukrainians living in this country, the territory of our state extends all the way to the United States.

"I want to congratulate you on the opening of the Ukrainian House. Our new Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova was involved in the implementation of this project. I congratulate her on this event," the president said.

Zelensky called the opening of the Ukrainian House a significant end to his visit to Washington.

He noted the high level of preparation for the current visit, which was filled with many important meetings, including with U.S. President Joe Biden, Secretary of Defense, and Secretary of Energy.

The president stressed the importance of the United States' support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as reforms in our country. The strategic partnership between the two countries will continue to strengthen, and the Ukrainian community in the United States will play a significant role in this process.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is on a working visit to Washington. He met with U.S. President Joe Biden on Wednesday, September 1. The end of the visit is scheduled for Sunday, September 5.
