There may be no winter in Ukraine in 20 years - Kulbida

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) There may be no winter in Ukraine in 20-25 years, Director of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Mykola Kulbida has said in an interview with the Parlament.UA news site.

"Global warming, of course, could not bypass Ukraine. Our country is one of those countries where it is quite noticeable as the average annual temperature over the past few years has increased by 1.6-1.7 degrees Celsius," Kulbida said.

According to him, the warm summer period grows by an average of 10-15 days each year, whereas the winter period decreases.

"If everything continues like this, it is possible that there will be no winter in Ukraine at all in 20-25 years," Kulbida said.
