Second shipment of Qatari food aid for Lebanese army arrives in Beirut


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Beirut: A plane from the Amiri Air Force of the Qatari armed forces arrived on Sunday at Rafic Hariri International Airport, carrying 70 tons of food, representing the second shipment of food aid provided by the State of Qatar to the army in the Lebanese Republic.

Last July, the State of Qatar announced the support of the Lebanese army with 70 tons of foodstuffs per month for a year, as part of the efforts of the State of Qatar and its firm commitment to support the Lebanese Republic and stand by the brotherly Lebanese people, in addition to its firm belief in the importance and necessity of activating joint Arab action.
