U.S. equities record weekly loss amidst inflation worries

(MENAFN) U.S. shares dropped for the week, pushed by a constant increase in U.S. inflation figures.

For the week cocluding Friday, the Dow dropped 0.5 percent, whereas the S&P 500 and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite declined 1 percent and 1.9 percent, each.

The S&P U.S. Listed China 50 indicator, which is developed to monitor the performance of the 50 biggest Chinese firms listed on U.S. exchanges by overall market cap, recorded a weekly decline of 1.2 percent.

A hotter-than-projected report on U.S. inflation became a main concern on Wall Street in the present week.
