Angola: Oil firm sells shares in 8 oil blocks

(MENAFN)Angola's National Fuel Society (Sonangol) declared on Monday, June 14, that the selling of partial shares held in eight oil blocks to reconsider its investment selection.

The declaration was made by the president of the executive committee of Sonangol's Exploration and Production Unit (UNEP), Ricardo Van-Deste.

The partial selling is planned to assure the completion and implementation of the firm’s exploration and production strategy from 2 percent to 10 percent by 2027, according to him.

Van-Deste highlighted that the firm also wants to lessen its fiscal exposure and contribution interests, highlighting competent management of Sonangol's crude oil lifting rights.
