(MENAFN)Diplomatic sources stated that the UN Security Council is going to assemble to talk about the incraesing tensions in East Jerusalem.
The council is going to hold a closed-door session to talk about the crisis that started with the forced expulsion of Palestinian families from their homes in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood by Israeli settlers.
Palestinians in Jerusalem in recent days demonstrated in solidarity with residents of Sheikh Jarrah among raids by Israeli police.
This matter came from a ruling by the Israeli Central Court in East Jerusalem that showed a decision to expel seven Palestinian families from their homes in favor of Israeli settlers at the start of 2021.
