Syria: Firefighters extinguish blaze in Homs refinery


(MENAFN) SANA news agency said in a report that on Sunday morning, May. 9 firefighters succeeded in extinguishing a blaze that broke out in an oil refinery in Syria's central province of Homs.

According to the report, the fire erupted at a cleansing unit as a consequence of a leak in one of the pumpers.

The report noted the cooling procedure was introduced after the blaze was put out, further saying that only property damage was caused without human casualties.
