A suspect was arrested in connection to the Wisconsin bar shooting that left three people dead and further three others injured, US news outlets reported.

The Kenosha County Sherriff's Department said, a person (whose name was not released), was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder.

The department added that three people were injured during the attack.

The suspect was taken into custody following multiple leads and reviewed surveillance videos by the police department.

The suspected reportedly knew who he was shooting at the Somers House Tavern, the department added, the injured were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Reports indicate before the shooting occurred a person was asked to leave the bar and in return, the suspect opened fire and it is still unclear whether the victims knew the shooter.

The names, ages, and cities of the residence for the victims are still being determined, and the police have cordoned the area where the shooting occurred.

According to Wisconsin police, the road leading to the tavern remained close on early Sunday, Associated Press reported.

This comes as police in the United States are investigating another mass shooting that left eight people dead at a FedEx warehouse on Thursday.

Last month, four people were killed at an office shooting in California, eight others were killed at massage businesses in the Atlanta area, and 10 people died in gunfire at a supermarket in Boulder, Colorado, According to NBC.
