Iran declines remarks by officials of Arab League, Persian Gulf Cooperation Council


(MENAFN)According to officials of the Arab League and the (Persian) Gulf Cooperation Council, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh has strongly rejected “interventionist and irresponsible.”

Khatibzadeh underlined the “destructive role of a handful of countries”, saying, “These imprudent and irresponsible comments are part of their anti-Iran remarks.”

The statement followed high-level Arab officials leveled blames against Iran after Tehran’s decision to increase the uranium enrichment level to 60 percent. The Arab League showed “extreme concern” over Iran’s decision to enrich uranium up to 60 percent purity, calling it a “dangerous development.”

Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmad Abul Gheit wrote a statement in which he accuse Iran of moving toward developing a nuclear weapon.
