At the Gharafa Beach Complex courts, the 13th ranked Qatari pair on the FIVB World Tour firsat defeated the Russian team of Pavel Shustrov-Alexey Gusev 2-0 (21-14, 21-17) and later in the evening they defeated Joe El Azzi and Salba Chafic of Lebanon 2-0 (21-8 21-11).
