Jordan- Transport Minister, Iraq Ambassador discuss cooperation


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Feb. 22 (Petra) -- Minister of Transport, Marwan Khitan, and Iraq Ambassador to Jordan, Haider Al-Athari, on Monday discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of transportation.
Khaitan and Ambassador Al-Athari discussed overcoming difficulties and removing obstacles that face the transportation field, as a translation of outcomes of the recent visit of Prime Minister, Bisher Khasawneh to Baghdad, and the series of meetings that discussed aspects of cooperation, including transportation in its various means.
"We seek to increase frameworks of cooperation with our brothers in Baghdad in all fields in general and transportation in all its means in particular, which would encourage and increase trade exchange between the two brotherly countries and the allocate the Aqaba port for Iraqi goods," the minister said.
For his part, Ambassador Al-Athari stressed the need to increase cooperation in all areas of transportation and exchange of expertise for the benefit of the two brotherly countries.
