Doha: Hundreds of vibrant kites coloured the skies as Loyola International School celebrated the national kite flying day.
The day is marked to celebrate the joy and happiness that comes from making beautiful kites, to letting it catch the wind and watching them as it soars high into the sky. Students across all grades participated in the event and there were enormous displays of beautiful artwork by children.
Teachers facilitated students in the creation of numerous kites on the day and educated them on the science behind.
The fact that kites are shaped and angled in such a way wherein the air moving over the top moves faster than the air moving over the bottom contained the curiosity of children. The kids enjoyed building, decorating, and flying kites which they made.
The most creative kite was awarded as many children moulded up their imagination and creativity into beautiful kites.
The management, staff and students experienced a visual feast on the event. Operational Director Sarat Koduru encouraged the students.
The event ended with a short message by the Principal PKV Prasad to students which was to let their dreams fly high like kites and pursue them with determination against all challenges, like how kites fly higher with contrary winds — so that they will have futures as colourful as the kites.
