China: Export container distribution index increases


(MENAFN) According to the Shanghai Shipping Exchange, China's index of export container transport increased in the last week ending on Friday, January 10.

According to the exchange, the average China Containerized Freight Index (CCFI) hit 1,753.85, augmented 5.7 percent from a week earlier.

The sub-reading for Mediterranean service led the increase with a week-on-week upsurge of 11.7 percent, followed by that for the Europe service, which augmented 9.2 percent from the past week.

The CCFI tracks spot and contractual cargo rates from Chinese container ports for 12 shipping routes throughout the globe, based on statistics from 22 international carriers.
