N. Syrian conflict leaves 21 militants killed

(MENAFN) According to report released by a war monitor agency, more than 21 Turkey-affiliated militants were killed and 10 others injured in a surprise attack by the Kurdish militia in Syria's northern province of Raqqa on Tuesday.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the ambush was carried out by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the neighborhood of the Ayn Issa town in the northern countryside of Raqqa, when they extracted from the town after planting a network of mines, which exploded as Turkey-backed rebels arrived at the area after midnight.

The UK-based watchdog group said on its part that the SDF seriously bombarded the zone that was penetrated by the Turkey-backed rebels.

The SDF and Turkey-backed rebels have been rutted against each other in northern Syria as part of the desire of Turkey-backed rebels to drive out the SDF of areas in northern Syria.
