Kuwait- Argentina leader says late Amir's demise ... loss to world


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Oct 22 (KUNA) -- Argentina's President Alberto Fernandez on Thursday emphasized that with the demise of His Highness the late Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may Allah rest his soul in peace, the world has lost a very important figure that has made many accomplishments.
This came during a meeting held between President Fernandez and Kuwaiti Ambassador to Argentina Abdullah Al-Yahya, the Kuwaiti Embassy to Argentina said in a statement a copy of which obtained by KUNA.
Fernandez offered heartfelt condolences over the death of the late Amir, recalling his (Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad) achievements to Kuwait and the whole world, the statement added.
Undoubtedly, the memory of the late Amir will remain due to his social, political and humanitarian positions that had a great impact on vulnerable people, he noted.
He stressed the late Amir's efforts made for reconciliation amongst conflicting countries were matchless.
He wished success to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in his new post.
In addition, the two sides discussed some issues of common concern, and reviewed means of developing relations in different fields and boosting cooperation between the two countries as well as focused on removing all obstacles.
According to the statement, the meeting had wide positive repercussions locally and was covered by all local newspapers and diplomatic circles. (end) tma.hm
