Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Hosts Global AI Summit


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Riyadh, October 22, 2020, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Riyadh, Al-Yaum, and Al-Bilad newspapers reported in their editorials that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, has confirmed its capabilities in achieving development in various levels.
In this regard, the papers said that Riyadh is hosting two-day Global Artificial Intelligence Summit (GAIS) in its first version under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
The papers further added that based on vital role that Riyadh leads during its presidency of G20 summit, it has hosted the first summit of its kind in artificial intelligence under the title, 'AI for the Good of Humanity' with participation of a whole slew of decision-makers, experts, specialists and academics in government and private sectors from around the world, including leading technology companies and investors and businessmen.
The papers concluded that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is going forward in achieving huge projects in artificial intelligence to set the system of services in various sectors in a way that contributes to improving performance, accelerate development and achieve the concept of "quality of life" adopted by its vision 2030.
