Weather alert: Fog covers parts of UAE, poor visibility warning issued


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has warned there may be a chance of fog and deteriorating horizontal visibility over some northern coastal and internal areasuntil 8am this morning.

Expect a cloudy day at times with mercury touching 48C

The mercury will touch 48 degrees in interior parts of the country on Wednesday on a fair and partly cloudy at times day.

Early on Wednesday morning, theNational Center of Meteorology (NCM) warned there may be a chance of fog and deteriorating horizontal visibility over some northern coastal and internal areasuntil 8am.

In Dubai the forecast is for 43degreeswith 11kilometre per hourwinds, while Abu Dhabi should reach 44degrees and winds of only 5kph.

It will become humid by night and into Thursday morning with the chance of fog or mist formation, the NCM says.

Light to moderate winds, freshening at times, will blow dust during daytime.

The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
