Egypt, Saudi Arabia reject foreign interferences in Libya


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, July 16 (KUNA) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri and his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud discussed by phone on Thursday a range of issues of mutual concern.
During the conversation, initiated by Prince Faisal, both sides affirmed rejection of the foreign interferences in Libya, according to a statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
They denounced the growing influence of militiamen and foreign mercenaries in the Arab country which risks worsening the security situation there.
They highlighted the need of reaching a peaceful solution to the crisis in Libya that could restore stability and security in the country, and preserve its unity and territorial integrity.
Both ministers also discussed a range of regional issues, including the developments of the situations in Palestine, Syria and Yemen, the statement added. (end)
