Turkey Central government unpleasant debt stock smack 234 billion United States dollars


(MENAFN) On Monday June 22 official figures discharged that the unpleasant debt stock of Turkey"s central government placed at 1.6 trillion Turkish liras (around 234 billion United States dollars) at the end of May.

The Treasury and Finance Ministry announced that the figure was 33.7 percent superior to the similar month last year.

The unpleasant debt stock comprises the exceptional debt of public sector institutions, the Central Bank, private corporations, and families.

The ministry stated that over half of the debit stock, 825.2 billion Turkish liras (United States dollars121 billion), is denominated in foreign currency.
