Kyrgyzstan adds new record of 100 for daily positive COVID-19 cases


(MENAFN) During the last 24-hour period as of Wednesday, a number of 100 more patients tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Kyrgyzstan, lifting the national tally of the confirmed cases to 2,572.

Local media reports quoted the country's Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbaev as announcing at a daily press release that the recent infections included 14 medical workers, taking the total number of infections among healthcare personnel to 474.

According to the minister, as of Tuesday morning, the combined record of patients who have won the battle against the brutal COVID-19 infection increased by 34 to 1,847.


Currently, a total of 597 patients infected with the disease are being treated in hospitals throughout the country including six in the ICU, the official revealed.
