Iran arranges military helicopters to battle flames in forests


(MENAFN) On Sunday May 31st Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and Army on arranged helicopters to the Zagros mountain forests to battle flames outburst in the west and southwest of the country.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani orderd on the day issue to the related institutions to emergently react to the blaze spread in forests of Khuzestan, in the southwest and Bushehr, in south of the country.

Islamic Revolution Guards Corps IRGC and Army had previously sent seven helicopters to Gachsaran and Dehdasht forests in southwestern Iranian areas of Kohkilouyeh and Boyerahmad also Behbahan in Khuzestan areas.

The flames outbreak in the west, southwest and south of Iran over the past weeks has totally burnt 300 hectares of forests and grasslands in Gachsaran as fine as 200 hectares of woods in Kohkilouyeh.
